Forklift Operator We are hiring immediately for a Forklift operator to prepare, load/unload and store steel bar material.

Responsibilities
Load/Unload steel bar material by operating a 58,000 lbs.
forklift and overhead crane.
Comprehend written instructions to select proper material per customer requirements.
Must be able to wear personal protective gear 8 to 12 hours per day and follow all safety policies.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift/carry 50/80 pounds.
Must be able climb up and down 12 steps repeatedly during shift.
Must be capable of working in inclement weather.
Operates yard truck, pneumatic tools, and hand tools to assist with shipping and receiving steel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.
g.
data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license.
