In this role, you will provide support in purchasing, materials management, warehouse management, planning, customer service and scheduling in Motion NEMA Motors in Ozark Plant.
In addition, help prioritize best practice business processes and applications that are driven by the local business unit and the business team.
Identify improvement areas within our planning, supply chain management, production, & quality assurance operations.
This position reports to Planning and Fulfillment Manager Your responsibilities Ensures that all activities are conducted in accordance with the company's policies and procedures and are in compliance with health and safety guidelines Serve in a plant scheduling capacity by creating production schedules or participating in production work center scheduling activities Facilitates all relevant tasks to ensure excellent customer service in a planning & fulfilment role Works with factory team to identify improvements relating to on time delivery, productivity, efficiency, etc.
, and develops projects to correct issues and better the factory processes Design and test processes based on factory knowledge and determine feasibility or change management required for successful implementation Identifies cost savings opportunities and coordinates with responsible functions to achieve savings results Prepare and present data and analysis for management decisions Supports manufacturing schedules by executing aspects of materials planning, ordering, scheduling and expediting such as planning inventory levels, placing orders, updating orders, resolving order issues, and scheduling transportation and delivery of respective materials/commodities Manages stock transfers by checking orders/availability and coordinating with suppliers when required Recommends production rescheduling when required.
Works with respective suppliers to resolve quality and or delivery issues Responsible for helping accomplish the facility’s inventory management objectives through effective management of raw, WIP(Work in Progress), buffer, and bulk inventories for respective materials/commodities Reviews cycle counting activities and root cause analysis data in order to support facility inventory accuracy Work directly with the facility management team to understand the business direction, strategic initiatives in order to plan and support the business direction Develop user friendly, factory specific learning and standard work documentation to support SCM(Supply Chain Manager) business system processes and applications Facilitate multilevel training as directed by manager for areas such as, but not limited to: order management, materials management, warehouse management, production execution, and logistics.
Tailor training content based on businesses specific need Collaborate with existing subject matter experts on current and upcoming processes/applications, in order to contribute to the design and maintenance of processes within factories Develop internal material flow processes from stock receipt to material presentation and consumption Your background Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience in manufacturing related roles such as production, purchasing, planning, or scheduling management OR, Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience in manufacturing related roles such as production, purchasing, planning, or scheduling management.
Experience in manufacturing related role such as production, purchasing, planning, or scheduling management preferred Technology savvy, including experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products High knowledge of SAP processes a plus Project management knowledge/experience preferred Flexible in hours, self motivated and self starter Organization, attention to detail and accuracy Demonstrated analytical and decision making skills Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Ability to create and present documentation as well as presentations Knowledge of APICS a plus Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US Benefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Healthcare plan Wellbeing program More about us ABB’s NEMA Motors Division markets, designs and manufactures the market-leading Baldor-Reliance® brand of industrial motors.
