Bachoco OK Foods is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent for our Fort Smith, AR location.
Summary: Provides leadership, consultation, and direction to all maintenance departments.
Performs administrative duties in preparing and maintaining records, reviews maintenance production and preventive maintenance reports and follows through on deviations from expected results and goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Directs maintenance departments for both slaughter and debone plants.
Performs administrative duties in preparing and analyzing reports for maintenance.
Holds maintenance supervisors accountable for hourly maintenance personnel and maintenance downtime.
Manages the learning and training of subordinates to continually improve their knowledge and skills.
Maintains close and effective working relationship with production, quality control, and USDA.
Performs other duties as required.
Must pass a background investigation.
This is a safety sensitive position.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages up to four subordinate supervisors who supervise up to 75 employees in the maintenance department.
The superintendent Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Manufacturing software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
