Position Title: Assistant Maintenance Supervisor Pay Rate: $60,200 - $80,300 Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.
Category/Shift: Salaried Full-Time Physical Location: 4215 Planters Road Fort Smith, Arkansas The Job You Will Perform: Assist maintenance employees in support of daily production, to include training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
Participate with Maintenance Manager in evaluating employee performance; resolving conflicts & disciplining employees; promoting safety, quality standards and teamwork.
Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment.
Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel and outside customers and vendors.
Utilizes systems, including KIWI and SAP, to track maintenance key performance measures, including mechanical/electrical downtime, maintenance reliability guides, maintenance breakdowns, etc.
Assist Maintenance Manager with the work order system and tracks work orders through completion.
Compiles a report related to work order efficiency for the facility leadership team.
Help to plan maintenance projects including scheduling of personnel (employees and contractors), maintaining project budget, accessing machine manuals, ensuring needed parts are in inventory, working with production team to schedule time and ensuring work orders are in the system, updated and completed throughout the project Works in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager and local leadership team to schedule predictive/preventative maintenance activities to keep all equipment in good working order.
Responsible for working with maintenance clerk and machine champions to use kitting processes throughout the manufacturing facility to complete projects.
Responsible for Machine Champion Process, to include a monthly review with machine champions of machine condition monitoring routes, and backlog work orders.
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, support Environmental Health & Safety initiatives in the facility potentially including: air permitting, storm water compliance, HAZMAT, waste water compliance, roof maintenance, Infrared inspections, compressed air management, air handlers, fire & safety system inspections, contractor training, employee training, electrical, hot work, etc.
Maintain open communications with managers and front line leaders at the plant to ensure they are informed of problems and/or unusual situations Other Duties as assigned The Skills You Will Bring: Associates Degree or relevant leadership service; Industrial Maintenance preferred.
Computer skill set is required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Prior experience utilizing SAP and/or KIWI is highly preferred Prior supervisory/leadership experience and/or demonstrated situational leadership skills is required Prior mechanical, electrical and/or maintenance troubleshooting experience is preferred.
Corrugated experience is highly preferred Prior experience with predictive/preventative maintenance programs and inventory planning is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
The ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively is required Demonstrated personnel supervisory skills.
