Essential Functions of Maintenance Supervisor:

Report to the Administrator regarding the physical and structural conditions of center and the status of work in progress.
Perform all assigned task in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Maintenance Department.
Monitor departmental staff matters to include interviewing and hiring of new staff, training, evaluating work performance, promotion, counseling, discipline, and termination.
Develop, evaluate, and implement: departmental policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and standards of work for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, buildings and building systems.
Participate in the development and application of standards of quality and productivity for the Maintenance Department.
Administer and implement the maintenance program to ensure uninterrupted operation of the entire center.
Coordinate the repair of equipment or recommend the replacement of or additions to equipment or center as necessary.
Work closely with other department and administration.
Negotiate priorities, plan work schedules, make job assignments, order needed materials, supplies and parts.
Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work, alterations, remodeling, minor construction and the checkout, installation and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment and building systems.
Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies to maximize the operational readiness of hospital building systems and equipment with due respect to the limitations of cost, regulations, and relative priorities.
Responsible for developing the annual operating budget, which includes staff, equipment, materials, and supply needs.
Monitor budget after adoption.
Have knowledge of fire alarm and signal system.
Administer and implement the preventive maintenance program of the fire alarm system according to National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) criteria.
Responsible for the development of policies and procedures relative to fire and safety.
Maintain staff files and records, audits time cards and prepares statistical and operating reports.
Have knowledge and observance of safety precautions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of Maintenance Supervisor:
High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
1 year of experience is preferred
Experience in institutional maintenance is preferred.
Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
Must be able to operate a vehicle
Ability to read, write, and speak the English Language.
Moderate Computer Skills
Organization and management skills
